Event Date
This three-day institute, designed for teachers in grades TK-2, will equip teachers to design literacy instruction that responds to the diverse range of assets and needs in their classrooms. Focusing specifically on students with dyslexia and autism, the institute will deepen teachers’ understandings of these students’ strengths and challenges and provide concrete tools and strategies for including all students meaningfully in literacy lessons. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Nicole Sparapani and Dr. Nancy Tseng, professors in the UC Davis School of Education, and Andratesha Fritzgerald, author of Antiracism and Universal Design for Learning, as co-facilitators. This will be a rich three days of learning from experts and collaborating with colleagues.
